WELCOME! Thank you for visiting the New Albany Stormwater Board website. Since it’s creation in September 2006, our Board’s mission has been to:
- provide fiduciary oversight of the stormwater user fee;
- oversee implementation of the stormwater quantity / drainage program;
- and oversee implementation of the stormwater quality program and related permits.
Our natural resources make Southern Indiana unique. The New Albany Stormwater Board has the opportunity and responsibility to prudently and proactively manage utility activities and programs such that the citizens of New Albany are impacted in a positive manner. We intend to protect our community and the surrounding areas for future generations and make our community a better place to live and work.
We are committed to serving the citizens of New Albany and we invite you to visit this site often as we strive to make the City a role model in stormwater and water quality management.

STORMWATER QUALITY PROGRAM AUDIT RESULTS: New Albany's stormwater quality program was audited this past fall by the Indiana Department of Environmental
Management (IDEM) to determine if the City's water quality plan and implementation were in compliance with state and federal program requirements.
New Albany recently received IDEM's detailed report, which indicated no program or implementation deficiencies. Additionally, IDEM's report contained
numerous commendations and recognitions for the solid, well-executed water quality program being implemented by New Albany.
